Blackpool


I have a real soft spot for Blackpool having spent many holidays there as a kid.

I was amazed to find this box containing a bottle of whisky in Avignon (Yes France) of all places.

 So I bought it for my mum.

Unfortunately, when I visited last year, Blackpool didn't quite live up to the classy image on the box.



There's always a way out.

But I still love it.

    Is there a connection between Blackpool and blended scotch whiskey?

    Blackpool is a working class seaside resort.
    I have no idea why the French used it as an example of chic sophistication.
